***Timely and accurate reports from trained weather spotters are essential to the National Weather Service when making a warning decision***
SPOTTER TRAINING AVAILABLE ONLINE: Two new Spotter Training Modules are available online at http://www.meted.ucar.edu. One is entitled "Role of the Skywarn Spotter". The second is "Skywarn Spotter Convective Basics". Each of these modules will take a little over an hour to complete.
To take this training, first go to the website and create an account by clicking on "Sign Up" near the top center of the page. Once you sign up, type "Skywarn" in the site search box and the two modules will pop up. Just click on the course you want and follow instructions.
Please confirm completion of either course with the Daviess County KY Weather Spotter group via FaceBook (see link above) or contact our office.
